News from January 20.

The NBA named Michael Finley (Dal) and Stephon Marbury (NY) as Players of
the Week.  Finley averaged 26.5 points and 6.3 rebounds as Dallas went
4-0.  Marbury averaged 22.5 points and 12.3 assists as New York went 3-1.

Detroit released Hubert Davis.

Qyntel Woods (Por) was fined $1,096 for his no contest plea to charges
related to an earlier traffic arrest.

Eddie Griffin (NJ) was found guilty for marijuana possession.  His
sentencing will occur in February.
