The NBA named Kevin Garnett (Min) and Tracy McGrady (Orl) as Players of the 
Week.  Garnett averaged 27.3 points, 11 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 4 blocks
as Minnesota went 4-0.  McGrady averaged 26.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 8 
assists as Orlando went 3-1.

Denver activated Jeff Trepagnier and placed Jon Barry on IR with a strained
neck.

Karl Malone (LAL) is expected to miss at least 3 games with a sprained knee
ligament.

Golden State released Cherokee Parks.

New Jersey signed Mikki Moore and released Damone Brown.

Sacramento activated Lawrence Funderburke.

New York fired president and GM Scott Layden, named Steve Mills as 
president and chief operating officer, and named Isiah Thomas as president
of basketball operations.
