Chicago activated Chris Jefferies and placed Scottie Pippen on IR with a
sore left knee.

Jackie Butler (high school senior, Coastal Christian Academy (VA),
forward) declared himself eligible for the NBA draft.  [thanks to Jed Tai]
Underclassmen and foreign players under 22 have until May 10 to declare 
themselves eligible.  Players who have declared can removed their name 
from the draft up to June 17.  The NBA draft is June 24.
