News from February 9.

The NBA named Tim Duncan (SA) and Kenyon Martin (NJ) as Players of the Week.
Duncan averaged 27.3 points including 55.6% FG, 13 rebounds, and 3.7
blocks as San Antonio went 3-0.  Martin averaged 21 points and 12 rebounds
as New Jersey went 4-0.

TRADE: Atlanta traded Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Theo Ratliff, and Dan Dickau to
Portland for Rasheed Wallace and Wesley Person.  The trade occurred after
Monday's Dal-Atl game.

The LA Lakers signed Maurice Carter to a 2nd 10-day contract.

The LA Clippers signed Matt Barnes for the rest of the season.

Jalen Rose (Tor) suffered a fractured bone in his left hand.  It is not
yet known how long he will be out.

Andrew DeClerqc (Orl) is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery today
(Tuesday) on his right knee to repair torn cartilage.  He is expected to
be out 10 to 14 days.

Stephen Jackson (Atl) had 30 points on 10-18 FG and 8-10 FT, 4 steals, and
5 turnovers.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim (Atl) had 27 points including 9-11 FT and 10 rebounds.
Jason Terry (Atl) had 14 points including 6-19 FG, 7 rebounds, 9 assists,
and 4 steals.
Dirk Nowitzki (Dal) had 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Michael Finley (Dal) had 24 points including 9-23 FG and 4-9 3-pointers
