TRADE: Houston traded Glen Rice, draft considerations, and $2.5 million to 
Utah for John Amaechi and a future 2nd round draft pick.  The draft
considerations are the pick(s) that Houston received from Chicago via the
2000 Bryce Drew trade.  If Chicago finishes in the top 19 teams for 03-04,
it will be a 1st round draft pick, else it will be a 2005 2nd round draft
pick and maybe a 2006 2nd round draft pick (if Chicago is in the bottom 10
teams).  The Utah 2nd round draft pick comes from Sacramento via this
summer's Keon Clark trade.

TRADE: Phoenix traded Bo Outlaw and Jake Tsakalidis to Memphis for Brevin
Knight, Robert Archibald, and Cezary Trybanski.

Dallas signed Rod Gregoire and Josh Powell to non-guaranteed contracts.

Atlanta signed Lee Nailon to a 1 year contract.

Houston signed Jim Jackson to a 3 year, reported $7.3 million contract.

The LA Clippers released Desmond Penigar.

Miami signed Cherokee Parks.

Milwaukee signed Lynn Greer, Antonio Meeking, and Greg Stempin.

Minnesota re-signed Gary Trent.

New Orleans signed Kareem Ried and Paul Shirley.

Chris Dudley (Por) announced his retirement from the NBA.

Seattle released Joseph Forte.

Toronto signed Stanley Roberts.
