News from November 8.

The NBA named Kevin Garnett (Min) and Dwyane Wade (Mia) as Players of the
Week.  Garnett averaged 27.3 points and 16.7 rebounds as Minnesota went 2-1.
Wade averaged 28.7 points and 7.7 assists as Miami went 3-0.

Atlanta signed Jelani McCoy and released Anthony Miller.

Dick Helm resigned as an assistant for New York,  New York named Brendan
Suhr as an assistant coach.

Phoenix signed Bo Outlaw and placed Yuta Tabuse on IR with a right quadricep
strain.

Theron Smith (Cha) underwent surgery on his right knee to repair cartilage
damage.

Voshon Lenard (Den) underwent surgery to repair his torn left Achilles.  He
is expected to be out 6 months.
