News from September 28.

The NBA and the National Basketball Referees Association reached a new 5 
year collective bargaining agreement.  The agreement runs through 08-09.

Dallas signed Avery Johnson to a 1 year, minimum contract.

Cleveland signed Scott Williams to a 1 year, $1.6 million contract.

Portland signed Theo Ratliff to a 3 year, $36 million contract extension.  
Ratliff is now signed through 07-08.

On Sept. 16, Houston exercised their 05-06 option for Yao Ming.  [thanks to
