The NBA named Kevin Garnett (Min) and Allen Iverson (Phi) as Players of
the Week.  Garnett averaged 24.3 points, 14 rebounds, and 6.3 assists as
Minnesota went 2-1.  Iverson averaged 40 points, 5 rebounds, and 9.3
assists as Philadelphia went 2-1.

The LA Lakers signed Ronny Turiaf and released Laron Profit.

Chicago signed Stephen Graham to a 10-day contract.

Philadelphia named Henry Bibby as an assistant coach.

Toronto activated Mike James and placed Loren Woods on IL.
