The NBA named Kobe Bryant (LAL) and Richard Hamilton (Det) as Players of
the Week.  Bryant averaged 51.5 points and shot 49-51 FT as the Lakers
went 2-2.  Hamilton averaged 22.3 points including 63.5% FG and shot 5-7
3-pointers as Detroit went 4-0.

Memphis signed Chucky Atkins.

Utah activated Andre Owens and placed Matt Harpring on IL.
