[Note: With the new collective bargaining agreement, the injured list no
longer exists and is now called the Inactive List.  A player does not have
to have an injury to be placed on IL and there is no minimum games a
player has to miss once he is placed on IL.  Teams can change who is on IL
up to 60 minutes before game time.  If there is an injury/concern
associated with a player placed on IL (and it's reported), I'll list it.]

TRADE: Detroit traded Ronald Dupree to Minnesota for a 2nd round draft
pick.

Boston placed Gerald Green, Tony Allen (right knee rehab), and Marcus
Banks (stress fracture left shin) on IL.

Cleveland exercised their 06-07 option for Sasha Pavlovic.

Dallas placed Jerry Stackhouse (sore right knee), Pavel Podkolzin (stress
fracture right foot), and Rawle Marshall on IL.

Denver placed Julius Hodge, Linas Kleiza, and Bryon Russell (medial
meniscus tear right knee) on IL.

Detroit signed Tayshaun Prince to a reported 5 year, $48 million contract
extension.  He is now signed through 10-11.

Golden State signed Mike Dunleavy to a reported 5 year, $45 million 
contract extension.  He is now signed through 10-11.

Golden State placed Ike Diogu (fractured bone in left hand) and Monta 
Ellis on IL.

Houston placed Moochie Norris, Bob Sura (right knee surgery), and Dion 
Glover (right knee sprain) on IL.

Indiana placed Jeff Foster (sore left Achilles), Scot Pollard (strained
left calf), and Eddie Gill on IL.

The LA Clippers released Yuta Tabuse.

The LA Lakers exercised their 06-07 option for Brian Cook.

The LA Lakers released Corie Blount.

The LA Lakers placed Devin Green, Von Wafer, and Luke Walton (severe
hamstring strain) on IL.

Memphis signed president of basketball operations Jerry West to a 2 year
contract extension.  He is now signed through 2008.

Memphis placed Brian Cardinal (left knee rehabilitation), John Thomas, 
and Anthony Roberson on IL.

Miami released Darius Rice, Andre Emmett, and Gerald Fitch.

Miami placed Michael Doleac (strained left calf), Shandon Anderson (lower
back spasms), and James Posey (sprained right thumb) on IL.

Minnesota released Ndudi Ebi.

Minnesota placed Ronald Dupree, Dwayne Jones, and Bracey Wright on IL.

New Jersey exercised their 06-07 option for Zoran Planinic.

New Jersey placed Ben Handlogten, Linton Johnson, and Antoine Wright on

New York placed Jackie Butler, Anfernee Hardaway, and David Lee on IL.

Orlando placed Stacey Augmon (hernia surgery), Grant Hill (sports 
hernia), and Mario Kasun (right ankle tendinitis) on IL.

Philadelphia placed Jamal Mashburn (knee injury), Michael Bradley (right
knee surgery), and Shavlik Randolph (left foot fracture) on IL.

Phoenix placed Amare Stoudemire (left knee surgery), Lucas Tischer (visa
problems), and Jared Reiner on IL.

Sacramento placed Jamal Sampson on IL.

Sacramento released Luke Schenscher and Lonnie Jones.

Toronto placed Eric Williams and Pape Sow (groin injury) on IL.

Utah placed Carlos Boozer (strained left hamstring), C.J. Miles, and Andre

Washington signed Caron Butler to a reported 5 year, $46 million contract 
extension.  He is now signed through 10-11.
