News from August 19.

TRADE: In a sign-and-trade, Phoenix re-signed Joe Johnson to a 5 year, 
$69.8 million contract and traded him to Atlanta for Boris Diaw, a 2006 
1st round draft pick (lottery protected in 2006, top 3 protected in 2007), 
and a 1st round draft pick via either the LA Lakers or Boston.

Dallas signed Doug Christie to a 3 year, $9.7 million contract with the 2nd
and 3rd years at the team's and player's option.

Dallas signed DeSagana Diop to a 3 year, $6.5 million contract.

Boston signed Will Bynum to a 2 year contract with the 2nd year at the
team's option.

Charlotte re-signed Brevin Knight.
