The NBA named Yao Ming (Hou) and Joe Johnson (Atl) as Players of the Week.
Yao averaged 29 points and 11.3 rebounds as Houston went 4-0.  Johnson
averaged 29 points and 8.7 rebounds as Atlanta went 2-1.

Minnesota released Vin Baker.

Chuck Hayes (Hou) is expected to be out up to 2 weeks with an injured left
knee.

Orlando activated Grant Hill and placed Travis Diener on IL.

Boston activated Wally Szczerbiak and placed Theo Ratliff on IL with a
sore lower back.
