Memphis fired head coach Mike Fratello.  Director of Player Personnel Tony
Barone Sr. was named as interim coach.

Atlanta signed Slava Medvedenko and released Matt Freije.

Brevin Knight (Cha) is expected to be out at least 4 weeks with a torn
abdominal muscle.  He is scheduled to undergo surgery today (Friday).

Phoenix activated Pat Burke and placed Sean Marks on IL.

San Antonio activated Brent Barry, Matt Bonner, and Manu Ginobili and 
placed Jackie Butler, James White, and Francisco Elson on IL.  Elson is 
expected to be out at least 2 weeks with a torn right rotator cuff.

Seattle activated Desmon Farmer and placed Danny Fortson on IL.
