Seattle fired head coach Bob Hill and removed Rick Sund as GM.  Sund, who
still has a year under contract, will be reassigned within the
organization.

Sean Singletary (junior, Virginia, guard), Shaun Pruitt (junior, Illinois,
center), Reggie Williams (junior, Virginia Military Institute, forward),
Joseph Jones (junior, Texas A&M, forward), and Thaddeus Young (freshman, 
Georgia Tech, forward) declared themselves eligible for the NBA draft.

Chicago activated Adrian Griffin and placed Viktor Khryapa on IL.

The LA Lakers activated Shammond Williams and placed Vladimir Radmanovic
on IL.

Sam Mitchell (Tor) was named as Coach of the Year.  Mitchell received 49
of 128 possible 1st place votes.
