The NBA fined Stephen Jackson (GS) $50,000 for failing to leave the court
in a timely manner and verbal abuse of the refs following his ejection in
Wednesday's Dal-GS game.

Seattle named Lenny Wilkens as president of basketball operations.

Bo McCalebb (junior, New Orleans, guard), Brandon Rush (sophomore, Kansas,
guard), JamesOn Curry (junior, Oklahoma State, guard), and Gabe Pruitt
(junior, USC, guard) declared themselves eligible for the NBA draft.

Marcus Camby (Den) was named as Defensive Player of the Year.  Camby
received 70 of 130 possible 1st place media votes.
