The NBA announced the All-Star starters for the All-Star game, which takes
placed February 17 in New Orleans.  The starters were selected by fan 
voting.  The reserves, which are selected by the coaches in each 
conference, will be announced January 31.  The starters are:

undergo surgery on his left thumb.

Indiana activated Troy Murphy and placed Jamaal Tinsley on IL with a sore
knee.

Golden State activated Marco Belinelli and placed Kosta Perovic on IL.

Miami activated Joel Anthony and placed Shaquille O'Neal on IL with left
hip and leg pain.
