The NBA named Allen Iverson (Den) and LeBron James (Cle) as Players of the
Week for the week ending January 6.  Iverson averaged 33.3 points as
Denver went 3-0.  James averaged 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 8.3 assists as
Cleveland went 3-0.

Denver released Bobby Jones and activated Von Wafer.

San Antonio released DerMarr Johnson and Keith Langford and activated
Brent Barry.

Memphis released Jeremy Richardson.

New Jersey released Billy Thomas.

Chicago recalled Demetris Nichols from the NBADL.

The LA Clippers released Richie Frahm.

Golden State activated Austin Croshere.
