Former NBA ref Darell Garretson died at age 78.  He was an NBA ref for 27
years and spent 17 years has head of the NBA refs.

Vince Carter (NJ) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle to 
have a bone spur removed.

Philadelphia activated Louis Amundson and placed Shavlik Randolph on IL.

The LA Lakers activated Coby Karl and placed Ronny Turiaf on IL with
tonsillitis.

Danilo Gallinari (19 years old, Italy, forward), D.J. Augustin (sophomore,
Texas, guard), A.J. Abrams (junior, Texas, guard), Antonio Anderson 
(junior, Memphis, guard), Robert Dozier (junior, Memphis, forward), and
Mario Chalmers (junior, Kansas, guard) declared themselves eligible for 
the NBA draft.
