News from July 9.

Dallas has reportedly reached a 1 year, $2.5 million contract agreement
with Devean George.  The contract can not be formally signed until the
July Moratorium ends (July 11).

Atlanta signed 1st round draft pick (#3) Al Horford to a 2 year,
$4,026,720 contract with 2 more years worth $9,752,497 at the team's
option.

Atlanta signed 1st round draft pick (#11) Acie Law to a 2 year,
$3,998,760 contract with 2 more years worth $5,157,004 at the team's
option.

New Jersey signed 1st round draft pick (#17) Sean Williams to a 2 year,
$2,939,520 contract with 2 more years worth $4,131,448 at the team's
option.

On the lighter side (not NBA though):
At the Global Games (where teams from the US and the World containing
players under 19 years old compete) on Saturday one of the players was
complaining to the ref about something and the ref was trying to explain
when a shout came from the stands: "Don't try reasoning with him.  He's a
teenager!"
