News from August 16.

TRADE: Washington traded the rights to Juan Carlos Navarro to Memphis 
for a future 1st round draft pick.  Washington had drafted Navarro in the
2nd round in 2002.  The 1st round draft pick is top 19 protected in 2008,
top 16 protected in 2009, top 14 protected in 2010 to 2012, top 12
protected in 2013, else Washington will receive cash considerations and a
2nd round pick.

New Jersey signed Robert Hite to a 1 year, minimum contract.

San Antonio signed Portland free agent Ime Udoka to a 2 year, $2 million
contract.

Detroit signed Washington free agent Jarvis Hayes to a 1 year contract.

The LA Clippers signed Guillermo Diaz.
