Orlando signed Adonal Foyle to a 2 year, minimum contract with the 2nd year at the player's option. San Antonio signed 2005 1st round draft pick (#28) Ian Mahinmi to a 2 year, $1,009,200 contract with 2 more years worth $3,028,390 at the team's option. San Antonio released Vassilis Spanoulis. Spanoulis signed with a team in Greece. Seattle named Scott Brooks, Mark Bryant, and Ralph Lewis as assistant coaches. Former NBA coach Butch van Breda Kolff died. He was 84. Utah free agent Carlos Araujo signed with Spartak St. Petersburg of Russia.
