News from September 13.

Indiana suspended Shawne Williams for 3 games for his arrest earlier in 
the week for suspected marijuana possession.  Williams was driving a 
vehicle in which the police found marijuana, but charges concerning the 
marijuana were dropped as police could not prove to whom the marijuana 
belonged (Williams was charged with driving without a license).

New Orleans signed San Antonio free agent Melvin Ely to a 2 year contract.

Greg Oden (Por) underwent microfracture surgery on his right knee.  He is
expected to miss the entire 07-08 season.
