News from October 2.

Jared Jeffries (NY) suffered a fractured left fibula during practice and
is expected to be out 6 to 8 weeks.

Amare Stoudemire (Pho) suffered a partially torn right iris during a
scrimmage.  He is only expected to miss a few days of practice, but will 
wear goggles when he returns and may have to wear them for the rest of 
his basketball career.

Oklahoma City signed John Lucas, Derrick Byars, and Chris Alexander on
9/30.

Milwaukee signed Kevin Kruger and Ron Howard on 9/30.

Utah signed Gerry McNamara, Britton Johnsen, and Kevin Lyde on 9/27.

Utah signed Gabe Muoneke and released Britton Johnsen (who signed with a
team in the Ukraine) on 9/29.
