News from February 9.

The NBA named Pau Gasol (LAL) and LeBron James (Cle) as Players of the
Week.  Gasol averaged 26 points and 13.8 rebounds as the Lakers went 4-0.
James averaged 33.7 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists as Cleveland went
2-1.

The NBA suspended David West (NO) for 1 game for his flagrant foul on Mike
Miller (Min) during Sunday's NO-Min game.

Jason Terry (Dal) underwent surgery on his left hand to stabilize a
fractured bone.  No timetable has been set for his return, but similar
injuries have resulted in players being out 3 to 6 weeks.

Elton Brand (Phi) underwent surgery on his shoulder and is expected to be
out 6 months.

Al Jefferson (Min) suffered a torn right ACL during Sunday's Min-NO game.
He is out for the season.

Sasha Pavlovic (Cle) is expected to be out 6 weeks with a sprained right
ankle.

Milwaukee signed Eddie Gill to a 10-day contract and placed Luke Ridnour
(fractured right thumb) on IL.

Cleveland assigned Darnell Jackson to the NBADL.

Charlotte activated Sean May and placed Raja Bell (groin injury) on IL.

Andre Iguodala (Phi) had 22 points including 10-11 FT, 5 rebounds, and 7
assists.
Nick Young (Phi) had 25 points including 10-14 FG and 5 rebounds.
Marreese Speights (Phi) had 24 points including 11-16 FG and 7 rebounds.
Amare Stoudemire (Pho) had 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Jason Richardson (Pho) had 16 points.

Hakim Warrick (Mem) had 15 points and 14 rebounds.
O.J. Mayo (Mem) had 22 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 turnovers.
Mike Conley (Mem) had 18 points and 8 assists.
Peja Stojakovic (NO) had 23 points including 7-22 FG and 7 rebounds.
James Posey (NO) had 11 points.
Mem shot 36.4% (28-77) FG and NO shot 29.5% (26-88) FG.

Darrell Arthur (Mem, personal reasons), Rudy Gay (Mem, strained left hip

Richard Jefferson (Mil) had 25 points including 10-15 FG and 3-3

Charlie Villanueva (Mil) had 25 points including 5-10 3-pointers and 8
rebounds.
Ramon Sessions (Mil) had 26 points including 10-12 FT, 4 steals, and 7
assists.
Charlie Bell (Mil) had 21 points including 9-13 FG.
Luis Scola (Hou) had 20 points including 7-8 FG.
