News from April 14.

The NBA suspended Ray Allen (Bos) for 1 game for elbowing Anderson Varejao
(Cle) in the groin during Sunday's Bos-Cle game.

New York signed Chris Hunter.  New York elected not to re-sign Courtney
Sims for the rest of the season after he finished his 2nd 10-day contract.

Boston activated Leon Powe and placed Kevin Garnett (sore right knee) on
IL.

Atlanta activated Speedy Claxton and Othello Hunter and placed Acie Law 
and Zaza Pachulia (rest) on IL.  [It was the first time Claxton had been
activated all season and he did play 7 minutes (his first game since
4/3/07).]

Hasheem Thabeet (center, UConn, junior) and Dar Tucker (guard, DePaul,
sophomore) declared themselves eligible for the NBA draft.

Pau Gasol (LAL) had 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Andrew Bynum (LAL) had 22 points and 3 blocks.
Kobe Bryant (LAL) had 16 points and 5 assists.
Deron Williams (Uta) had 25 points including 9-10 FT and 13 assists.
Andrei Kirilenko (Uta) had 20 points, 4 steals, and 6 turnovers.
Mehmet Okur (Uta, mild strained right hamstring) did not play.

Bos 100, Phi 98  at Phi
Paul Pierce (Bos) had 31 points on 12-16 FG and 7-9 3-pointers.
Tony Allen (Bos) had 18 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals.
Glen Davis (Bos) had 15 points and 5 rebounds.
Andre Iguodala (Phi) had 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Ander Miller (Phi) had 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists.
Ray Allen (Bos, suspended) did not play.

Flip Murray (Atl) had 17 points including 5-20 FG and 5 assists.
Marvin Williams (Atl) had 13 points on a perfect 4-4 FG, 1-1 3-pointers,
and 4-4 FT.
Michael Beasley (Mia) had 23 points including 9-15 FG and 13 rebounds
including 5 offensive.
Mario Chalmers (Mia) had 15 points and 6 assists.
Dwyane Wade (Mia, rest) and Jermaine O'Neal (Mia, strained left calf) did
