News from July 1.

Kobe Bryant (LAL) elected not to opt-out of his contract and remains
signed through 09-10 (with another player option for 10-11).

Eddie House (Bos) elected not to opt-out of his contract and remains
signed through 09-10.

Philadelphia named Mike O'Koren as an assistant coach and retained Jim
Lyman and Aaron McKie as assistant coaches.

Toronto named Alvin Williams and Francesco Cuzzolin as assistant coaches
and re-signed Eric Hughes as an assistant coach.

Utah signed 1st round draft pick (#20) Eric Maynor to a 2 year, $2,736,720
contract with 2 more years worth $3,855,401 at the team's option.

Detroit released Fabricio Oberto.  Only $1.8 million of Oberto's 09-10
salary was guaranteed.
