News from July 9.

TRADE: In a 4 team trade, Dallas traded away Jerry Stackhouse, Antoine
Wright, Devean George, and cash (to Memphis) and received Shawn Marion,
Greg Buckner, Kris Humphries, and Nathan Jawai; Toronto traded away Shawn
Marion, Kris Humphries, Nathan Jawai, a 2016 2nd round draft pick, and
cash (to Orlando) and received Hedo Turkoglu, Antoine Wright, and Devean
George; Orlando traded away Hedo Turkoglu and received cash (from 
Toronto); Memphis traded away Greg Buckner and received Jerry Stackhouse,
a 2016 2nd round draft pick, and cash.  In a sign-and-trade, Marion was 
first signed to a new 5 year, $38 million contract and Turkoglu was first 
signed to a new 5 year, $53 million contract.  In that they did not take 
any players back, Orlando also received a trade exception for the amount 
of Turkoglu's contract.

Cleveland re-signed Anderson Varejao to a 6 year, $50 million contract.

The LA Clippers signed 1st round draft pick (#1) Blake Griffin to a 2
year, $10,340,760 contract with 2 more years worth $12,957,972 at the
team's option.

Toronto signed 1st round draft pick (#9) Demar DeRozan to a 2 year,
$4,736,520 contract with 2 more years worth $5,969,250 at the team's
option.

Chicago signed 1st round draft pick (#16) James Johnson to a 2 year,
$3,307,680 contract with 2 more years worth $4,645,126 at the team's
option.

Chicago signed 1st round draft pick (#26) Taj Gibson to a 2 year,
$2,157,480 contract with 2 more years worth $3,351,491 at the team's
option.

New York signed 1st round draft pick (#29) Toney Douglas to a 2 year,
$2,067,240 contract with 2 more years worth $3,213,520 at the team's
option.

Detroit named John Kuester as head coach.
