News from August 7.

TRADE: Denver traded Steven Hunter, a protected 2010 1st round draft pick,
and cash to Memphis for a future 2nd round draft pick.  The 2010 pick is
top 14 protected, top 14 protected in 2011, top 10 protected 2012 through
2015, and unprotected in 2016.

Atlanta re-signed Marvin Williams to a 5 year, $37.5 million contract.

Portland signed Brandon Roy to a 5 year, $80 million contract extension
with the 5th year (14-15) at the player's option.
