News from March 31.

The NBA suspended John Wall (Was) for 1 game and fined Juwan Howard (Mia)
$35,000 and Zydrunas Ilgauskas (Mia) $25,000 for their altercation during
Wednesday's Was-Mia game.

New Jersey released Quinton Ross and signed Mario West to a 10-day
contract.

Joel Przybilla (Cha) is expected to miss the rest of the season.  He is
scheduled to undergo a procedure to remove wires that were inserted into
his knee to help heal a torn patella tendon.

The LA Lakers activated Theo Ratliff and placed Derrick Caracter on IL.
Caracter was assigned to the NBADL.

Boston activated Jermaine O'Neal and Von Wafter and placed Avery Bradley
and Troy Murphy on IL.

San Antonio activated Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili and placed Danny Green
and Chris Quinn on IL.

Isaiah Thomas (junior, Washington, guard) and Ashton Gibbs (junior,
Pittsburgh, guard) declared themselves eligible for the NBA draft.
Underclassmen have until April 24 to declare themselves eligible for the
draft.
