News from November 25. After several days of negotiations (including 15 hours of negotiations on Friday that extended into Saturday morning), the NBA and the players' association announced that they have reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement that will end the lockout. The agreement does need to be finalized and voted on by both the players and owners, but everyone is optimistic that it will be approved and the tentative schedule is for a 66 game schedule starting on December 25 (with a triple-header of Boston at New York, Miami at Dallas, and Chicago at LA Lakers) and training camp starting December 9 (with free agency signings also starting December 9). Details of the new agreement were not announced yet. ---- Patricia Bender pbender@eskimo.com For Trianglons puzzles: http://www.trianglons.com For NBA stuff: http://www.eskimo.com/~pbender/index.html For Mavs stuff: http://www.eskimo.com/~pbender/mavs.html
