The NBA fined Amare Stoudemire (NY) $50,000 for using offensive language
(homosexual slur) in a Twitter message.

The NBA ordered Oklahoma City to send a 2013 2nd round draft pick
(originally belonged to Charlotte) to Boston as part of compensation for
the OKC-Bos Jeff Green-Kendrick Perkins trade (2/24/11).  Green missed the
entire 11-12 due to heart trouble.

TRADE: Houston traded Chase Budinger and the rights to Lior Eliyahu to
Minnesota for the #18 2012 1st round draft pick.

TRADE: Detroit traded Ben Gordon and a lottery protected 2013 1st round
draft pick to Charlotte for Corey Maggette.

J.R. Smith (NY) elected to opt-out of his contract and, thus, is a free 
agent.

Golden State extended a qualifying offer to Brandon Rush, making him a
restricted free agent.

David Morway resigned as GM of the Indiana Pacers.
