TRADE: Houston traded Samuel Dalembert, the #14 draft pick, a future 2nd
round draft pick, and cash to Milwaukee for the #12 draft pick, Shaun
Livingston, Jon Leuer, and Jon Brockman.

New Jersey made a qualifying offer to Brook Lopez, making a restricted
free agent.

Deron Williams (NJ) elected to opt out of his contract, making him a free
agent.

Indiana announced that Larry Bird with leave his position of president of
basketball operations at the end of August.  Donnie Walsh was named as
president and Kevin Pitchard was named as GM.

Former NBA player Pat Cummings died at age 55 (cause of death not yet
known).  Cummings played 12 seasons in the NBA from 79-80 to 90-91.


The 2012 NBA draft is tonight starting at 6:30 PM CT on ESPN.
