News from January 17.

All-Star starters were announced, as selected by fan voting.  For the
Western Conference, Kobe Bryant (LAL), Kevin Durant (OKC), Blake Griffin
(LAC), Dwight Howard (LAL), and Chris Paul (NO) will start.  For the
Eastern Conference, Carmelo Anthony (NY), Kevin Garnett (Bos), LeBron
James (Mia), Rajon Rondo (Bos), and Dwyane Wade (Mia) will start.  The
All-Star game will take place February 17 in Houston.  [Top 15 Frontcourt

Dallas signed Mike James to a 2nd 10-day contract.

Indiana signed Dominic McGuire to a 2nd 10-day contract.

Philadelphia signed Shelvin Mack to a 10-day contract and elected not to
sign Maalik Wayns to a 2nd 10-day contract.

Detroit activated Sasha Kravtsov and Corey Maggette and placed Khris
Middleton and Kim English on IL.

Miami activated Dexter Pittman and placed Jarvis Varnado on IL.  Pittman
was recalled from the NBADL.

New York activated Iman Shumpert and placed Marcus Camby (strained left
plantar fascia) on IL.

LeBron James (Mia) had 39 points including 17-25 FG, 7 rebounds, 8
assists, and 3 steals.
Dwyane Wade (Mia) had 27 points.
Dwight Howard (LAL) had 13 points including 5-13 FT and 16 rebounds.
Kobe Bryant (LAL) had 22 points including 8-25 FG and 4-9 3-pointers and 6
turnovers.

LAC 90, Min 77  at Min
Caron Butler (LAC) had 12 points.
Blake Griffin (LAC) had 20 points.
Jamal Crawford (LAC) had 22 points.
Andrei Kirilenko (Min) had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.
Luke Ridnour (Min) had 21 points and 5 assists.
Chris Paul (LAC, bruised right knee), Malcolm Lee (Min, right knee
surgery), and Kevin Love (Min, right hand surgery) did not play.
