News from July 16.

Shane Larkin (Dal) underwent surgery on his right ankle to repair a
fracture.  He is expected to be out 3 months.

Miami released Mike Miller, using the amnesty clause (meaning he will
still receive the remander of his salary (minus any amount he signs with
another team) but his remaining salary will not count against the team's
salary cap or luxury tax).

Milwaukee released Drew Gooden, using the amnesty clause.

Toronto released Linas Kleiza, using the amnesty clause.  [The deadline
for eligible teams to use the amnesty clause has passed for 2013 - there
are still a handful of teams that will have the option of using the
amnesty clause in 2014 (the amnesty clause can only be used once and is
available only for players with a contract signed under the old collective
bargaining agreement).]

Boston signed rookie free agent Vitor Faverani to a 3 year contract with
the 3rd year at the team's option.

New York signed Metta World Peace to a 2 year contract, $3.2 million
contract with the 2nd year at the player's option.

Philadelphia claimed James Anderson and Tim Ohlbrecht off of the waiver
wire after Houston had released them.

San Antonio signed Indiana free agent Jeff Pendergraph to a 2 year, $4
million contract.

Toronto signed Dwight Buyck.
