News from April 6.

The NBA named James Harden (Hou) and Brook Lopez (Bro) as Players of the
Week for the week ending April 5.  Harden averaged 36.8 points as Houston
went 3-1.  Lopez averaged 20.8 points and 10.3 rebounds as Brooklyn went
3-1.

The NBA suspended Carl Landry (Sac) for 1 game for leaving the bench
during an altercation between Rudy Gobert (Uta) and Derrick Williams 
(Sac) during Sunday's Uta-Sac game.

Boston signed Chris Babb and released Shavlik Randolph.

Brooklyn signed Earl Clark for the rest of the season after he completed
his 1st 10-day contract.

Washington signed Will Bynum for the rest of the season after he completed
his 1st 10-day contract.


The Basketball Hall of Fame announced the inductees for the class of 2015.
The inductees are:
  Players
    Spencer Haywood  played 12 seasons in the NBA and 1 season in the ABA,
                     won 1980 NBA Championship, won 1968 Gold Medal, 1970
                     ABA MVP and Rookie of the Year
    Lisa Leslie      won WNBA championships in 2001 and 2002, won Olympic
                     Gold Medals 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008
    Dikembe Mutombo  played 18 seasons, 4 time NBA Defensive Player of the
                     year, 8 time NBA All-Star
    Jo Jo White      played 12 seasons, won NBA Championships in 1974 and
                     1976, won Olympic Gold Medal in 1968
  Coaches
    John Calipari    won 2012 NCAA tournament with Kentucky
  Referees
    Dick Bavetta     39 years officiating NBA

Those players join Louis Dampier (American Basketball Association
Committee), John Isaacs (Early African-American Pioneers of the Game
Committee), Lindsay Gaze (International Committee), Tom Heinsohn
(Veterans Committee), and George Raveling (Contributors Direct Election
Committee) who were previously selected and did not have to go through
the voting process.  The enshrinement ceremony will take place 
September 11.

Bro out-scored Por 32-13 in the 2nd quarter.
Bro shot 18-23 FT and Por shot 7-9 FT.
Alan Anderson (Bro, sprained left ankle), LaMarcus Aldridge (Por, sprained
left thumb), Nicolas Batum (Por, sprained lower back), Chris Kaman (Por,
sprained right thumb) did not play.
