The NBA announced the 16-17 salary cap numbers.  The 16-17 salary cap is
$94.143 million, the luxury tax threshold is $113.287 million, and the
minimum cap is $84.729 million [there are penalties for being over the
luxury tax and for being under the minimum cap].

Philadelphia signed 1st round draft pick (#1) Ben Simmons to a 2 year,
$12,072,000 contract with 2 more years worth $14,548,450 at the team's
option.

Philadelphia signed 1st round draft pick (#24) Timothe Luwawu to a 2 year,
$2,713,560 contract with 2 more years worth $3,976,044 at the team's
option.
