Mavs stuff:

7/24 Tim Legler was signed to a one-year contract with an option
for another.  He is an outside shooter.

The players the Mavs sent to the Rocky Mountain Revue: Tim Brooks
(Tenn. Chatt.), Lucious Harris (L. Beach St.), Donald Hodge, 
Brian Howard, Jim Jackson, Tim Legler, Darren Morningstar 
(Pittsburgh), Julius Nwosu (Liberty), Etienne Proira (Senegal),
Sean Rooks, Doug Smith, Randy White, and Morlon Wiley.  Walter
Bond, Dexter Cambridge, Sasch Hupmann, Keith Smart, and Angelo
Hamilton were cut.

Buckner's emphasis so far is for a defensive oriented system.

The Mavs have the first say for dates at Reunion Arena over the
NHL Dallas Stars.  They are the only NBA team to have that
power over their NHL counterpart.


NBA stuff:

7/29, 7/31  Philadelphia signed Shawn Bradley to a contract
for $44.2 million over 8 years, which is $5.52 mill/year.  The
76ers also renounced the rights to Manute Bol, Ron Anderson,
Greg Grant, Mitchell Wiggens, Eddie Lee Wilkins, and Charles 
Shackleford and waived Armon Gilliam.

7/31 Les Alexander bought the Rockets for $85 million and 
announced that he has a ""major trade" in the works which he
called "significant".
