Mark Price (Was) will miss the rest of pre-season with inflammation in his
left foot.

Hakeem Olajuwon (Hou) had minor surgery to remove a fluid sack from his
left elbow and will be out 2 weeks.  He will likely miss the McDonald's
Championship in London that starts October 20.

Eddie Jones (LAL) will undergo surgery on Thursday to repair a torn
ligmanet in his left thumb and will be out 6 to 8 weeks, missing the first
month of the season.

Charlotte matched Minnesota's offer to restricted free agent LeRon Ellis.

New Jersey re-signed Rick Mahorn to a 1 year contract.

Minnesota re-signed restricted free agent Sean Rooks to a 1 year contract.

Cleveland signed free agent rookie Charles Claxton.

Cleveland waived Herb Baker.
