New Jersey signed rookie Ed O'Bannon (#9 pick in the draft) to a 3 year
contract worth between $3.25 and 3.9 million under the rules of the new
rookie cap.
 
Sacramento signed rookie Tyus Edney (#47) to a 2 year contract believed to
be worth $400,000.
 
Denver signed rookie Antonio McDyess (#2) to a 3 year contract believed to
be worth $7.6 million.
 
Portland signed rookies Gary Trent (#11) and Randolph Childress (#19) to 3
year contracts.  Trent will make between $2.93 and 3.52 million and
Childress will make between $1.96 and 2.35 million.
 
Vancouver signed Lawrence Moten (#38) to a 2 year contract.
 
Atlanta signed rookie Donald Boyce (#42) to a 2 year contract.
 
Indiana signed unrestricted free agents Ricky Pierce and Eddie Johnson.
Indiana also renounced their rights to Vern Fleming, LaSalle Thompson,
Lester Conner, and Greg Kite.
Indiana extended a qualifying offer to restricted free agent Damon Bailey.

Orlando signed unrestricted free agent Jon Koncak.
 
The LA Lakers signed unrestricted free agent Fred Roberts.
 
Washington re-signed Brent Price.
 
Charlotte signed unrestricted free agent Pete Myers.
 
Golden State signed unrestricted free agent Jon Barry
 
Phoenix signed Steve Turner and Orlando Smart.
 
Houston re-signed Chucky Brown and Charles Jones.
 
Minnesota signed restricted free agent Jim McIlvaine to an offer sheet.

Not surprisingly, Chicago is expected to sign unrestricted free agent and
Dennis Rodman confident Jack Haley.  Rodman has requested jersey #91.  The
league will have to approve the unusual number.
