News from October 30.

TRADE: Denver traded Robert Pack and future considerations to Washington 
for Don MacLean and Doug Overton.

Atlanta released Troy Brown, Gaylon Nickerson, and Cuonzo Martin.

Boston released Tito Horford and Roger Smith.

Dallas released Brian Fair, Marcus Grant, and Brian Hopgood.

Atlanta signed Matt Bullard, Todd Mundt, and Howard Nathan.  Atlanta also
placed Donnie Boyce on IR to reduce their active roster to the required 12
men.  All teams must reduce their active roster to 12 by 5 pm CT November
2.  Up to 3 players can be placed on IR (injured reserve - player must
miss at least 5 games before he can return from IR).

With Monday night's game, pre-season has ended.  The regular season starts
on Friday (and the NBA refs are still locked out with no agreement in
sight).

assists.
