The NBA fined Jim Cleamons (Chi assistant coach) $2,50 for initiating a
verbal confrontation with Patrick Ewing in Tuesday's Chi-NY game 2.

Erick Dampier (center, junior, Mississippi State) declared his eligibility
for the NBA draft.

Tim Duncan (center, junior, Wake Forest) announced that he will remain at
Wake Forest for his senior year.  If Duncan had declared for the NBA, he
was projected to be the #1 pick of the draft.
