News from May 15.

Damon Stoudamire (Tor) was named as Rookie of the Year.  Stoudamire
received 76 of the possible 113 votes.  Arvydas Sabonis received 17 votes, 
Joe Smith 15 votes, Jerry Stackhouse 2 votes, Michael Finley 2 votes, and 
Kevin Garnett 1 vote.

Derek Strong (LAL) underwent surgery on his right foot to reconstruct a
bone in the foot, repair a tendon, and remove a bunion.  He will be on
crutches for 5 to 6 weeks and is expected to be out for 3 months.

Danny Manning (Pho) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.

Wayman Tisdale (Pho) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder
and will be out 8 to 12 weeks.
