New Jersey named John Calipari as head coach.  Calipari was the coach
an UMass.  The deal is reportedly a 5 year, $15 million contract.
 
Brad Daugherty (Cle) announced his retirement from the NBA.  Daugherty
suffered a back injury in February, 1994 and has not played since.
