TRADE: Cleveland traded Mark Price to Washington for a first round draft
pick in 1996.

Cleveland also announce that Brad Daugherty will not be with the team at
the start of the season and may miss the first half of the season due to
him still recovering from back surgery that took place last season.

Washington signed rookie Rasheed Wallace (#4 pick in the draft) to a 3
year contract.  The contract is rumoredly worth $6.8 million.

Philadelphia signed rookie Jerry Stackhouse (#3) to a 3 year contract.

Milwaukee signed rookie Shawn Respert (#8) to a 3 year contract.

The LA Lakers signed rookie Frankie King (#37) to a 1 year contract worth
the league minimum of $200,000.

Charlotte signed unrestricted free agent Rafael Addison to a 2 year
contract.

Houston re-signed free agent Pete Chilcutt to a multi-year contract.

Sacramento re-signed Michael Smith to a multi-year contract.

Denver re-signed unrestricted free agent Tom Hammonds.  The contract is
believed to be a 3 year deal worth ~$4 million.

Portland renounced their rights to Terry Porter and Mark Bryant.

The Portland-Detroit trade of Otis Thorpe for Bill Curley and Randolph
Childress is on hold.  Portland's doctors were not satisfied with the
condition of Bill Curley's left foot, which he broke March 1, during his
physical.  The two teams are trying to re-work the deal (Curley must be
part of the deal for it to work under the salary cap).
