Cedric Ceballos (LAL) will be out 6 to 8 weeks with a partial tear of the
patella tendon in his right knee.

The Veteran's Committee nominated Bailey Howell (Mississippi State and 12
years in the NBA) and Arnie Risen (13 years with the NBL and NBA) for the
Basketball Hall of Fame.  The nominees from the International Committee
are expected to be announced next week.

Cotton Fitzsimmons resigned as coach of Phoenix.  Phoenix named assistant
Danny Ainge as the new head coach.  Phoenix has started the season 0-8.

Atlanta signed Anthony Miller (F).

Indiana activated Duane Ferrell and placed Haywoode Workman on IR with a
torn ACL in his left knee.
