Atlanta signed Derrick Alston over the weekend.

The NBA named Dale Ellis (Den) player of the week.  Ellis averaged 30.4
points while shooting 50.5% FG and 52.5% 3-pointers while playing in all 
but 5 minutes of a possible 197 minutes as Denver went 3-1.

Dino Radja (Bos) broke the middle finger in his right hand during 
Saturday's Bos-Was game and will be out 7 to 10 days.

The NBA fined Reggie Miller (Ind) $10,000 and Larry Brown (Ind coach) 
$5,000 for comments they made about the refs following Thursday's Ind-Hou
game.

Atlanta activated Ken Norman and relaced Anthony Miller.

Dave Wohl resigned as executive vice president of basketball operations
for Miami and Miami named Randy Pfund as GM.

All-Star balloting has begun at arenas and nba.com.  The voting in arenas
will concluded January 10.
