Jamal Mashburn (Dal) will be out 2 to 4 weeks with a fractured cheekbone
and will then have to wear a face mask for 4 weeks.  He will undergo
surgery today (Saturday).

Dallas placed Jamal Mashburn on IR with a fractured cheekbone and
activated Greg Dreiling.

Chicago placed Robert Parish on IR with a back strain and activated Dickey
Simpkins.

Pervis Ellison (Bos) will be out 2 to 3 months with a broken big toe on
his right foot.  Elllison dropped a table on it.

The LA Lakers retired Gail Goodrich's #25.  (thanks to Justin Ridge)
