Portland signed Rumeal Robinson for the rest of the season.

The NBA announced the Vancouver will host the 1998 NBA draft.  The 1997
NBA draft is in Charlotte.

Adonal Foyle (Colgate University, junior, C) declared himself eligible for
the 1997 NBA draft.  Foyle joined Ron Mercer (Kentucky, sophomore, F),
Troy Hudson (Southern Illinois, junior, G), and Damon Jones (Houston,
junior, G) as underclassmen to declare.  Underclassmen have until 11 pm CT
May 11 to declare.
