Denver named Bill Hanzlik as head coach.  Hanzlik was an assistant coach
for Atlanta last season.

Kurt Thomas (Dal) underwent successful surgery on his right ankle and will
be out about 3 months.

Karl Malone (Uta) had 24 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.
Greg Ostertag (Uta) had 16 points on 6-6 FG and 4-4 FT, 14 rebounds, and 3
blocks.
Jeff Hornacek (Uta) had 18 points.
John Stockton (Uta) had 25 points including Utah's last 9 points and the
game winning 3-pointer at the buzzer and 13 assists.
Charles Barkley (Hou) had 20 points including 10-13 FT, 7 rebounds, 5
assists, and 5 turnovers.
Hakeem Olajuwon (Hou) had 16 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 blocks.
