Dallas promoted Keith Grant to Vice Presdient of Basketball Operations,
Jim Livingston to Vice President of Business Operations, Steve Letson to
Vice President of Operations, Kevin Sullivan to Vice President of
Communications, and Ron Ekker to Director of Scouting.

TNT announced that Doc Rivers is their new NBA broadcast analyst,
replacing the now Phoenix assistant coach Danny Ainge.  [I guess this
means that Rivers is now retired as a player.]

The free agent market is expect to open at 4 pm Central time today
(Thursday).


The USA Men's Olympic Basketball team played an exhibition game against
the China Men's Olympic Basketball team.

assists.
Zheng Wu (Chi) had 10 points including 3-11 FG and 7 turnovers.
